As a Bristol wedding videographer and photographer, it was a pleasure to the wedding videography and photography team for Cat and Jon’s wedding at the beautiful Leigh Court country house which is a Grade II* listed building in Abbots Leigh, Bristol.
Why did they choose Leigh Court in Bristol?
The venue for the wedding is a stunning grand mansion that exceeded our expectations from what we had seen online. As we drove up the driveway, we were struck by the impressive exterior of the house. The wedding coordinator guided us through the venue, starting in the outer hall, and discussed the logistics of the ceremony. The highlight of the venue was the Great Hall, where I envisioned walking down the stairs with my dad. The grandeur of the hall moved me to tears. We also loved the Tapestry Room with its intricate decor. The size of the mansion worked well for us, as we felt it would be perfect for their wedding regardless of the weather. We particularly loved how the Salon connected to the beautiful gardens, envisioning our guests enjoying drinks and games outdoors. Although the Great Hall and Tapestry Room were the standout features, the rest of the house was equally stunning.

I found Storybox Films & Photography on Google. I had been searching for Bristol photographers and videographers for a long time and had a “short list” of around 20 for each. I love your style, it’s so clean, elegant, and timeless. I love your shots of the venue from afar which I think would just be perfect for our venue. I also loved that you offered a package for both photography and videography. This meant the styles of both would be cohesive and it was also one less vendor to deal with!

The feast for the senses continued with delectable catering from Berry Blue, followed by a sweet surprise – a stunning cake crafted with love by the bride's own sister, Rebecca. Cat's bridal look was a captivating double act, gliding down the aisle in a Calla Blanche gown before dazzling the dance floor in a Made With Love Bridal creation.
Jon, equally dapper, sported a bespoke suit from YSG Tailors. As the evening began, Holy Youth Movement's pulsating beats swept the guests onto the dance floor, guided by the masterful coordination of Claire Shea and Giles Matthews of Leigh Court. Every element, from the exquisite styling to the infectious energy, came together to paint an unforgettable portrait of love and celebration, forever etched in the memories of Cat, Jon, and their loved ones at Leigh Court in Bristol.
