I'm starting to get into the groove and tackle the backlog of weddings I have to edit from this year. Next up, I'm super excited to share with you Roxanne and Laurence's wedding we filmed at Sparkford Hall which is not too far from the centre of Yeovil in Somerset. Every so often you meet a couple to chat over their wedding plans and you immediately click. This is what happened when I met Roxanne and Laurence for a coffee in Costa over 12 months ago to get to know one another.
With Roxanna being Candian and Laurence coming from the West Coast of Irland, it was sure to be a multinational wedding with family and friends coming from South Africa, France and Australia to name a few. So, how did they meet? Laurence was living in the apartment above Roxanne when she went to Ireland for a year-long exchange as an undergraduate student. They dated for 5 years using Skype and loved distance phone calling until Roxanne moved to Ireland again. They then moved together to Australia and are now back in England.
Roxanne says, "Laurence's proposal was incredibly thoughtful and intricate, he basically planted clues all around the city (Galway-where we met and lived). It must have taken huge amounts of thought and planning and was a completely surreal and incredible day".
These two are such an incredible couple and it really was an honour to capture their day at Sparkford Hall.
WEDDING VIDEO REVIEW
We're both so happy we chose to go with Storybox. We were very close to not getting a wedding videographer to cut costs but we would have regretted it so much. The final product was amazing and it was great to relive the day in Storybox's touching, cinematic style. On the day, James and Kylie were as hands off as possible and I often forgot they were there! But when you speak to them you'll realise they are the nicest easy going people and up for a laugh too. 5 Stars - Highly recommend. Thanks to you both. - Laurence & Roxanne
