The summer wedding season is in full swing and I’ve neglected my blog for way too long. So, from one extreme to another here we have a wedding we filmed way back last year the week before Christmas.
It was our first winter wedding and we were unsure what to expect to tell you the truth. Our biggest worry was the weather and we knew if the weather wasn’t behaving itself it could be a tricky day to film.
Thankfully the weather did decide to behave itself and we were welcomed to the crisp winter sun. The wedding was held at Old Down Estate set on 66 acres of beautifully situated parkland near Thornbury in Bristol with panoramic views across the River Severn to Wales and the rolling hills beyond. We worked alongside the very talented Kevin Belson Photography whom we’ve had the joy to work with on a few occasions now so we knew were in good company.
Rob and Caroline were great fun to film and their whole wedding day was so relaxed and full of happiness. There is something quite unique about having your wedding day just before the Christmas holidays. In my opinion, Christmas is about the coming together of family and friends, so what better time for two families to come together and celebrate such a special time in two people's lives? It was a special day for so many reasons.
I’ll leave you with this, “whenever you want to build a snowman, I’ll build one with you”. Love it!!!
