The wedding proposal
Trevor proposed after we had closed on our first home together. After a rather hectic day of Trevor losing his ID (preventing us from closing on time), we finally got to the house and decided to take a photo on the front step. Nebraska weather decided to get incredibly windy and cold that day, so we were freezing and ready to get the move-in process started. While we were taking the photo, Trevor knelt down and asked, and I clearly said "Yes." Little did he know that all I noticed during the time was his pant zipper left open. Poor kid.
Why did you choose Brympton House and what makes it special to you?
As a history fanatic and lover of all things England, I felt that the best way to spend time with everyone was at an estate where all the guests could stay and interact. Based on my criteria, Google led me to Brympton. It was love at first "sight" (only through pictures), and there was no turning back from there.
Please list 3 things that will be unique about your wedding at Brympton House
1. Everyone is from the US (largely Nebraska, but a few from Texas); 2. Trevor and I will have already been legally married in the US as we did not want to mess with the legality in the UK; and 3. The first time we see the venue will be for the wedding itself.
What experience do you want to give to your guests for your wedding at Brympton House?
I hope to create a warm, inviting atmosphere where everyone is comfortable and free to interact and have fun. I've been to one too many weddings where there are so many people that you only interact with the people you came with. By having a small group and allowing everyone to stay overnight, I hope to bring together our friends and family and make it one big party.
What part of the wedding day at Brympton House are you looking forward to the most?
Sarah: Dancing, even if that means I'm the only one doing it.
Trevor: Being with his closest friends and family.
Why did you choose us to be your wedding videographer and photographer capture?
Your video appeared on Hitched, which is where I discovered Brympton. It was because of your video that I fell in love with Brympton and the atmosphere I thought it could create.
