Chloe and Jake's Wedding at Coombe Lodge: a Perfect Blend of Cultures and Beauty
We had the pleasure of filming and photographing the love and joy at Chloe and Jake's wedding. The stunning venue, Coombe Lodge, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. Nestled at the foot of the Mendip hills, this exclusive country house offered a picturesque setting that was truly remarkable.
One of the most striking features of the wedding was the beautiful locally grown flowers. They added a touch of elegance and natural beauty to every corner of the venue. It was as if the vibrant blooms were rejoicing in the celebration of love.
The couple had chosen a garden party theme for their wedding, and it was a delightful experience. The festivities were filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of togetherness. From games to a talented singer, there was never a dull moment throughout the day. It was a true celebration of love and happiness.
What made this wedding even more special was the coming together of different cultures. Chloe, the bride and her family from France, while Jake, the groom, is English. A lot of people have traveled overseas to celebrate their day. It was heartwarming to witness how their love transcended borders and brought their families and friends together. The blending of their distinct traditions and customs made the day even more unique and memorable.
As a Somerset wedding videographer and photographer, we've had the privilege of capturing countless beautiful moments. Chloe and Jake's wedding was no exception. However, what made it truly remarkable was the love story that brought them together. Having met on a yacht in Croatia and embarked on many adventures around the world, they eventually settled back in England to tie the knot after a long engagement due to COVID-19.
We are grateful to have been a part of this unforgettable day, capturing their everlasting love. The breathtaking surroundings of Coombe Lodge, the delicate flowers, the joyful garden party, and the fusion of cultures all made for a truly exceptional wedding. It is moments like these that remind me why we are passionate about photography and videography.

The wedding proposal
It was on a beautiful island near Phuket, I did not expect it at all. We have been engaged since Dec 2018, which makes us the longest engagement among our friends, this is an achievement haha!! Due to Covid restrictions in Singapore, we had no other choice but to postpone our wedding to 2022. We are now super excited to celebrate with our families and friends!!!
Why did you choose Coombe Lodge as your wedding venue and what makes it special to you?
The venue looks beautiful, and it has an incredible view too, we thought it would be perfect for our wedding (we have the countryside, a natural theme, and white & green colours, and we wanted to feel this rustic yet classy vibe throughout the day.
Please list 3 things that will be unique about your wedding at Coombe Lodge.
Not sure about 'unique' per se - our wedding is multi-cultural (French/Swiss & British), and it will be very special for us to have everyone gathered in a beautiful place like Coombe, we hope the weather will be nice. We really just want all our guests to have a great fun time! Life is about memories :) !! - The venue - The multi-culture - The garden party
What part of the wedding day at Coombe Lodge are you looking forward to the most?
All of it, the ceremony, the readings, the confetti, leaving in the Morgan, the garden party, and games including South of France traditional pétanque (French boules haha). Also, we are big wine fans, we are very much looking forward to sharing wine at dinner with family and friends. I can't wait for the speeches (I will be crying a lot for sure!), cutting the cake (we are having a cake with cheese wheels haha), the first dance, seeing everyone having a great time!

Why did you choose us to capture your day?: Internet search; because you are the best :) !! We love the style of your pictures/video edits: very natural, stolen moments, this is exactly what we want for our wedding.
