It’s been in the pipeline for some time now and after many late nights creating the website and making sure everything is in place, we are thrilled to say it's finally here, Storybox Wedding Photography is live! We also have a newly designed website too for Storybox Films to match the branding of the photography site. Be sure to have a look around and let us know what you think.
Interestingly, when we set off on the journey of creating wedding films, we very nearly branded Storybox Films, and Storybox Studio instead, and were planning on offering both wedding photography and videography under the same roof from the get-go. Ultimately I chose against it and decided to focus solely on creating cinematic wedding films and leaving the photography for another day.
On reflection, I think this was the right decision to make. Two years have gone by since we launched Storybox Films and it has gone from strength to strength. I never thought for a minute it would take off like it has. It really has been a blessing. We’ve just completed our second wedding season and filmed over 20 weddings (nearly double year 1). I’m currently hidden away in my office editing the weddings we shot this season and I'm constantly finding new ways I can push our craft to create even more amazing wedding films next year.
With the wedding videography going so well, it made perfect sense to move towards wedding photography. My partner (Kylie) always wanted to focus on the photography side of weddings when we were in the planning stages of launching Storybox Films, but I was persuaded to hold tight and we’d move to that area when Storybox Films was established.
So, the day has come and Kylie has full control of Storybox Photography, whilst I’ll carry on focusing on Storybox Films and creating cinematic wedding films.
Wedding photographers come in all shapes and sizes; we understand that and would say our style of wedding photography is a fusion of documentary and fine art, with the main focus on those natural moments, capturing your wedding day as it unfolds. We strongly believe in being as non-intrusive as possible on a couple’s wedding days.
As many of you may know, we are based in Somerset and Cornwall in the South West of England, but will happily photograph weddings throughout the UK and Europe if such an opportunity presents itself like we also do with our wedding videography.
